Nosa Igiebor returned to action for Real Betis as Pepe
Mel’s boys easily won their first pre-season match against Los Barrios,
in Cádiz, securing a comprehensive 7-0 victory.
Mel named different starting eleven for each half, with Andersen, Chica, Paulao, Caro, Nacho, Carlos García, Nosa, Verdú, Chuli, Cedrick and Jorge Molina playing the first 45 minutes.
Despite the lack of competition rythm, Betis played well in patches, with players like Joan Verdú and Jorge Molina delighting the fans in the first half.
Salva Sevilla, Matilla and Juanfran took over the entertainment in the second half.
Jorge Molina, José Antonio Caro, from Betis B, and transfered player Cedrick scored the first three goals for Real Betis before half time.
Pepe Mel then put Javi Montoya; Juanfran, Damien Perquis, Antonio Amaya, Álex Martínez; Lorenzo Reyes, Matilla, Nono, Eder Vilarchao, Salva Sevilla and Rubén Castro on the pitch for the second half.
Los Barrios suffered even more then, when Rubén Castro - with two goals, Salva Sevilla and Álex Martínez, with a wonderful free-kick, completed the rout.
Real Betis will again play in Cádiz on Saturday, against Arcos C.F.
